Tattoos by Mickey Dee
Born and raised in New Jersey, I have been developing my love for art, design, and the beauty of Traditional American Tattoos since my teenage years. After graduating from the Art Institute of Philadelphia in 2003 with a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration, I decided to return to the art form that had me enamored for some many years: Tattooing. Under the watchful eye of traditional tattoo artist, and friend, Nick Males, I hit the ground running, and let my passion consume me.

I quickly realized my true devotion was to the Traditional American style of tattooing, though I do have a strong background in all styles, and chose to specialize in the traditional Coleman Style that American tattooing began with. I constantly look with great esteem to such artists as Bert Grimm, Sailor Jerry Swallow, Krooked Ken, Rick Walters, Daniel Higgs, Shawn Dillon, Mario Desa, as well as my friend and mentor Nick Males for knowledge, form, and overwhelming inspiration. I call Tattoo Garage in Bloomfield, NJ home.
